After revealing the exterior and interior pictures, Kia Motors has now released the engine specifications and key features of the next-gen 2021 Kia Carnival MPV. The new model will be launched in the global markets by the end of this year; however, India launch expected in late 2021 or early 2022.
2021 Carnival Engine Options:
The new 2021 Kia Carnival is available with a choice of 3 new engines. The top-spec model gets a 3.5-litre GDi V6 Smartstream engine with advanced GDi and multi-point injection system. This engine is capable of producing 290bhp of power and 355Nm of torque. It also gets a 3.5-litre MPi petrol V6 engine that offers 268bhp of power and 332Nm of torque. The diesel version gets the new 2.2-litre ‘Smartstream’ engine producing 199bhp of power and 440Nm of torque
2021 Carnival Dimensions:
The new Kia Carnival has 30mm longer wheelbase at 3,090mm and 10mm wider body at 1,995mm. The overall length has been increased by 40mm to 5,155mm, which should help the brand to create more space inside the cabin. With all seats in position, the 7-seater Carnival will offer a boot space of 627-litres. The luggage space can be further increased to 2,905-litres by folding the rear seats.
2021 Carnival Interior:
The 2021 Kia Carnival offers a luxurious cabin with space for up to 11 people. It has dual-tone upholstery, leather seats, automatic climate control, and a sunroof. The MPV also packs a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for all the latest connectivity options.
On the safety front, it has multiple airbags, crash sensors, and a parking camera.
2021 Carnival Wheel Options:
The new Carnival offers customers a choice of up to eight exterior paint colors, as well as a range of aluminum alloy wheel designs, 17, 18 or 19 inches in diameter, depending on specification.
